Maximal Manchester Terriers!

 ABOUT US

We are NOT a kennel and we do NOT breed dogs for sale. Kristina Barlak started with the Bleu Springs name in 1993. Today, her daughter Michelle, based in Northern New Jersey continues under the name "Maximal". Both are members of the breed’s AKC parent club: the American Manchester Terrier Club (AMTC).  Michelle is also a member of the Ibizan Hound Club of the U.S., the Central N.J. Hound Association and Schooley's Mountain All-breed Club. She is an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator and currently works for a non-profit organization that breeds, raises and trains guide dogs for people who are blind.

Kristina is Co-Chair of the AMTC Breed Rescue Program and Michelle was the AMTC District 1 Governor and District 1 Rescue Contact when she lived in New York City. Michelle is also the National Rescue Chair for the Ibizan Hound Club of the United States and Health Chair for the American Manchester Terrier Club. We have always been heavily involved in dog rescue and we are firm believers that if you breed, you should be willing to help rescue.

OUR DOGS

The Manchesters at Maximal are among just a handful that have earned Earthdog titles during the breed's history in the United States. We take pride in the quality, temperament, health and longevity of our dogs. We are always available to answer questions from anyone interested in learning more about the breed.

THE CARE THEY RECEIVE

Our dogs live in the house with us, sleep in our bed, and have an extra large, securely fenced yard to run and play. In addition to regular veterinary care, a chiropractor visits the house once a month to make sure our dogs are always feeling their best. While a person can choose to go to a chiropractor when they feel hurt, a dog cannot inform you if something doesn't feel right.
